The Security Execution and Performance team oversees, manages, and reports on TikTok's Global Security Organization's execution, capabilities, and utilization while continuously evaluating and refining strategies to increase efficiency, improve effectiveness, and drive organizational maturity. We ensure:

TikTok's Global Security Office has the appropriate tools, resources, and funding to execute initiatives and meet organizational goals.
TikTok's Global Security Office portfolio of security projects is successfully completed by streamlining project management processes, increasing collaboration, and centralizing all in-scope projects.

Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. A vibrant blend of social events and enriching development workshops will be available for you to explore. Here, you will utilize your knowledge in real-world scenarios while laying a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. This Internship Program runs for 12 weeks beginning in May/June 2025. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following summer internship start dates below:
Monday, May 12
Monday, May 19
Tuesday May 27 (Memorial Day May 26)
Monday, June 9
Monday, June 23

We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates. Please state your availability clearly in your resume (Start date, End date).

Responsibilities:
1. Collect, analyze, and interpret large sets of security data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
2. Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations to report on security metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide data-driven insights to support security initiatives.
4. Assist in the creation and implementation of machine learning models to predict and mitigate security threats.
5. Support the evaluation and refinement of security strategies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
6. Document data analysis processes, methodologies, and findings to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Security, or a related field.
- Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2025
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with machine learning techniques and frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Graduating December 2025 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship.
- Familiarity with security concepts and frameworks is a plus.
