About the Role

Workday is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Customer Experience Business Finance team in a role passionate about financial performance analysis and reporting. We’re looking for an organized, detail oriented, self-starter with a desire to learn.

Job Responsibilities:

• Budgeting and forecasting - Support monthly/quarterly financial forecast cycle in Workday Adaptive, ensuring accurate projections, appropriate level of reporting, analysis and communication.

• Regular and ad-hoc, financial, and operational analysis - Combine quantitative and qualitative analysis to highlight business risks and opportunities for the business.

• Own regular and ad-hoc reporting to provide significant metrics and insights across team and business units.

• Business processes - Become acquainted with business processes and highlight opportunities for automation and operational improvement.

• Participate in cross-functional efforts to continuously improve data quality and establish rigor in measuring and monitoring the business.

• Financial close - Occasionally prepare journal entries related to financial close activities (end-of period accruals, reclass entries).

• Support the annual strategic planning process, including the evaluation of key metrics and models.

About You

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in a finance, accounting, consulting, or related business function.

• Bachelor's degree in a business function such as accounting or finance.

Other Qualifications:

• Excellent organization, time management, and communication (written and verbal) skills.

• Finance system proficiency.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to deliver and think ahead.

• Willingness to work independently with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong business sense with ability to apply financial data to help develop insights to business performance.

• Maturity to drive things forward and be a proactive contributor.

• Ability to adapt to the rapid business and organizational changes that accompany a high-growth environment.

• Finance or Accounting experience in the software or SAAS industry.

• High proficiency with MS Excel (Google Sheets) and PowerPoint (Google Slides).

• Experience with Workday Adaptive Insights or similar financial planning tool preferred.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $102,800 US
