As a Security Officer - Government Patrols - Part Time in Soquel, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine rounds throughout the assigned area, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all individuals on site. You will be expected to communicate clearly and professionally, respond promptly to incidents, and document your observations as needed. This position requires driving as part of your daily duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random tours around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns encountered during rounds.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while conducting rounds.
• Document all incidents and activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry points as required by site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
