About the role

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Senior Program Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the United States Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS) in maintaining its information technology (IT) enterprise infrastructure. This individual will have a background in Dev Ops concepts.

 

Hybrid role.  Must be local to the DC Metro area.

 

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the successful technical, schedule, and cost performance in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Supervise professional and technical personnel performing in their customary disciplines.
  • Responsible for all phases of the program budget.
  • Perform analysis for contract reviews.
  • Prepare Staffing Plans, including skill and labor mix, to support contract operations. May be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staff.
  • Assign staff and provide technical direction as necessary to complete task.
  • Monitor contract, subcontract, and funding; prepare forecasts of program financial performance.
  • Develop and deliver required contract, departmental, project and/or financial reports.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with customers, vendors, project teams, internal support functions and other stakeholders to ensure program objectives are achieved on time and within budget.
  • Develop and facilitate program reviews and deliver status reports to senior leadership on budget, deliverables, staffing and risks.
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives to drive cost efficiencies and advancement of capabilities.
  • Prepare staffing, retention, and succession plans, to include skill and labor mix, to support contract operations.
  • Responsible for timely recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of highly qualified staff.
  • Work collaboratively with Business Development to create, implement, and maintain long-term strategic plans for account growth.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations, to include deliverables, SLAs and other performance standards.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship and must have the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Program Management, IT Business or Computer Science and 16 years’ experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in project and program management.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing IT projects and programs.
  • Proven experience with managing using DevOps concepts.
  • Exceptional technical aptitude and effective written and verbal communications skills.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
