Department Overview

The Corporate Security function is led by PG&E’s Sr. Director and is responsible for security and risk management across the organization. The Corporate Security Department partners with Cybersecurity and other lines of business and is responsible for the physical security and risk management of all PG&E assets and resources.

 

Position Summary

The Physical Security Administrator is responsible for administrating the installations, configurations and maintenance of physical security technology equipment throughout the PG&E territory. The successful candidate will conduct compliance reports, ensure security platforms are reporting and properly programmed, and work with internal/external Stakeholder to ensure security systems are functioning properly.

 

The role is classified as hybrid (0-3 days per week in office), working primarily from your remote office and in-person in the Oakland General Office to attend team meetings or as business needs require. 

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. 

 

A reasonable salary range is:​

 

Bay Area Minimum: $​95,000

Bay Area Maximum:​ $143,000

California Minimum: $90,000

California Maximum: $136,000

 

Job Responsibilities

 

• Collaborate with field personnel to validate health and functionality of security devices. Security devices will include but not limited to Access Control Systems, CCTV Systems, IDS and other security devices.
• Generate access reports, document discrepancies, and maintain compliance drawings for the Maintenance and Testing program.
• Provide updated documents to reflect changes to security systems.
• Must be self-motivated to perform tasks with minimum guidance
• Ensure reports and records are maintained to PGE standard/policies.
• Work with internal & external stakeholders to review programing and look for efficiencies to increase the effectiveness of security systems.
• Work closely with IT professionals to troubleshoot, resolve operational issues and programing of Security applications.
• Collaborate with senior employees to understand and operate security systems.
• Contribute to the continuous product Lifecyle management from research, planning and implementation to retirement.
• Perform product management duties with peers.
• Work with project teams to determine the best use of existing technology capacity for resource allocation.

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum:

 

• AA/AS in Computer Science, Business Engineering,
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant technical work experience
• Must be able to qualify for NERC/CIP clearance (background checks will be performed)

 

Desired:

 

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or 4+ years of relevant technical work experience
• 3+ years of relevant technical experience.

• Technical knowledge of the targeted IT product(s) and services
• Security Technology certifications such as AMAG, Genetec and/or others
