About the role

The Global L&D Analyst will be a critical support role within our global Learning & Development team, primarily responsible for leveraging data and technology to optimize our L&D initiatives. This role will focus on collecting and analyzing learning and development data, generating insights, administering the Learning Management System (LMS) and supporting the operational efficiency of global L&D programs and processes. The L&D Analyst will play a key part in ensuring our learning solutions are accessible, effective, and data-driven across all regions.

Learning & Development at Aperam includes Learning, Leadership Development, Performance management, as well as Feedback & Assessments. 

This role will evolve into broader missions, such as L&D project management or L&D program design, provided the candidate demonstrates the desire and ability to do so.

  • LMS Administration & Support:
    • Serve as a primary administrator for the global Learning Management System (LMS) 
    • Manage user accounts, course enrollments, learning paths, and system configurations.
    • Upload, test, and publish learning content (e.g., SCORM files, videos, documents) ensuring proper functionality and tracking.
    • Provide first level support and troubleshoot LMS-related issues for global employees and L&D team members, working closely with the HRPO team to test solutions before applying them.
    • Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the LMS.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Collect, clean, and analyze L&D data from the LMS and other relevant sources (e.g., survey tools, HRIS).
    • Design and keep track of dashboards on key L&D metrics in collaboration with HR Process Office, which can include course completions, learner engagement, program effectiveness, and skill development.
    • Identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement based on data analysis.
    • Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for the L&D team, HR leadership, and business stakeholders.
  • Learning Content Support & Curation:
    • Support the selection of relevant partners for Learning content and tools
    • Assist L&D Specialists and Managers in organizing, formatting, and preparing learning content using those tools.
    • Support the review and quality assurance of e-learning modules and other digital learning materials.
  • Operational Support:
    • Assist with the logistical coordination of global training programs (e.g., scheduling virtual sessions, managing registrations, distributing materials).
    • Support the creation and distribution of L&D communications and marketing materials.
    • Maintain L&D documentation, including process guides, standard operating procedures, and training resources.
    • Support vendor management activities, including tracking invoices and managing contracts.
  • Process Improvement and Technology
    • Identify opportunities to streamline L&D processes and improve operational efficiency through the use of technology and automation, in close collaboration with HRPO.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects:
    • Support special L&D projects as needed, contributing to research, data gathering, and implementation tasks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an analytical role within Learning & Development or HR 
  • Fluent in English (French, German or Portuguese being an asset)
  • Strong interest and desire to embrace new technologies (eg. Artificial Intelligence) to create value for people
  • Proficiency in HR management systems, especially LMS
  • Advanced MS Excel / Google sheet skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data visualization) 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
