Middle/Senior C with Rust Developer (IoT)

This is a great opportunity to tackle technically challenging tasks and make a real impact within a product-focused team that maintains high engineering standards. </p><p><strong>CUSTOMER</strong></p><p>Our Customer is a large international company that develops smart sleep-tracking devices. </p><p><strong>PROJECT</strong><br/> The project involves embedded software development for smart connected devices, with a focus on performance, reliability, and integration of modern communication and streaming technologies. </p><h3>Job Description</h3><ul><li>Develop software components using Rust and C++  </li><li>Contribute to the development of technical project documentation and user documentation  </li><li>Participate in conference calls and face-to-face meetings with the Customer and their partners  </li><li>Comply with the best engineering practices, technical standards, and quality criteria set forth on the project  </li><li>Report on the status and progress in accordance with project and company requirements  </li><li>Indentify current deficiencies in development process, adopted procedures, engineering practices, environment configurations, etc., and suggest improvements  </li><li>Escalate technical issues to the Architect, Team Lead, and Project Manager  </li><li>Improve your qualifications by attending training courses, seminars, and/or other educational events </li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Strong Rust programming skills </li><li>Experience with Rust for Back-end development, async Rust, and Rust for embedded systems </li><li>Familiarity with FFI and C/C++ interaction (knowledge of cbindgen/bindgen)  </li><li>Good C++ programming skills </li><li>Good understanding of WebRTC and WebSocket   </li><li>Knowledge of ESP32 MCU, interfaces, and protocols (UART, I2C, SPI, I2S)  </li><li>Experience with Linux OS (Embedded Linux)  </li><li>Experience with networking and IoT device development     </li><li>Experience in debugging and troubleshooting solutions for embedded systems. This should include software debugging on real hardware and diagnosing hardware-related issues  </li><li>At least an Upper-Intermediate level of English </li></ul><p> </p><ul></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p><strong>Would be a plus:  </strong></p><ul><li>Experience with FFmpeg  </li><li>Knowledge of async internals and runtimes  </li><li>Good C programming skills  </li><li>Hands-on experience in video transcoding (codecs such as H264, H265, MJPEG) and streaming (concepts such as NALU, AVCC, SPS, PPS, in the context of H.264)  </li><li>Knowledge of audio transcoding (codecs such as AAC, OPUS, PCM, G.711, G.722) and streaming (concepts such as DTX, PLC, in the context of OPUS)  </li><li>Practical experience with Bash and Python  </li><li>Knowledge of Google Protocol Buffers (Protobuf)</li></ul>
