About the role

Responsibilites:

Design and develop, through trials, stable manufacturing processes to create medical device products that meet customer and internal quality requirements

Learn process design and equipment capability fundamentals through interaction with Sr. Engineers and time spent on the manufacturing floor
Develop strong relationships with floor personnel (operators, inspectors, and Quality technicians)
Design and develop processes that are transferrable and scale-able to existing production equipment
Create a Trial plan and execute with oversite of Sr. Engineer
Communication with equipment manufacturers for design and troubleshooting work
Attend and participate in customer project-focused meetings
Manually produce prototypes to demonstrate design concepts
Source and select materials compatible with product design, regulatory requirements, and process capabilities
Development of optical measurement recipes, for part measurements
Assist in quoting processes
Effectively communicate the status of current projects

Support operations team in quality investigations
Participate in the ongoing education of the Med Device Market and current manufacturing equipment

qualifications:Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Ability to understand relationships between trial results and process inputs (material or otherwise)
Technical drawing interpretation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong understanding of basic physics concepts
Problem Solving and decision making
Self-motivated to work independently or in a group
Openness to new ideas and constructive guidance
Flexibility in working hours during manufacturing trials
Basic experience in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred

· Exposure to converting web based products· Skilled in CAD software · Minitab experience
