BASF’s Coatings division is a global expert in the development, production and marketing of innovative and sustainable automotive OEM and refinish coatings, decorative paints as well as applied surface treatments for metal, plastic and glass substrates in a wide range of industries. This portfolio is supplemented by "Beyond Paint Solutions", which enable new applications with innovative surfaces. 

We are looking for a professional like you to join our team! This position is responsible for supporting continuous improvement within the American Accounts organization through lean and digital solutions. The Process Improvement Specialist (PIS) is responsible for mapping current service activities and processes in our customer’s paint shops at assembly plants, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvement through lean and digital solutions, and supporting the implementation together with the TSM and CSS Teams. 
 

The successful candidate will demonstrate the technical and professional expertise to enhance BASF’s reputation with the customer. S/he will integrate within the business and customer site service community to bring additional value to the Automotive OEM Coatings team. The role will drive improvement through key performance indicators to drive efficiency through lean and digital solutions to improve efficiency and/or value creation.
 

You create chemistry by...

 

• Mapping the current customer site service activities and processes in paint shops at Customer Automotive Assembly Plants.
• Identifying opportunities and setting targets for service efficiency optimization using lean and digital tools
• Implementing the identified solutions to drive efficiency improvement and/or value creation to improve the customer experience and financial performance of Automotive OEM Coatings 
• Working closely with the marketing/digital solutions team and Technical Service Manager (TSM) to define solutions that are standardized and easy to use for the Customer Site Service Representatives

If you...

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree and relevant continuous improvement experience. 
• Have a background in process mapping, lean principles, and digitalization.
