In the Senior Experiential Designer role, you will manage all aspects of multiple projects from beginning to completion, including management of all staff assigned to project teams. You will also create original experiential graphic design concepts that convey client brand and culture and provide other graphic design expertise as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all phases of any given project and lead project teams through entire project lifecycle.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and scope of work; serve as primary client liaison.
• Work with other XD and Graphic Designers, Interior Designers and Architectural Designers to create original and creative concepts that convey brand and culture; turn client's brand into a creative 3D artistic experience.
• Reads and interprets architectural drawings to determine interior and/or exterior experiential graphic opportunities and designs graphic concepts.
• Creates original concepts for graphics within the parameters of company's existing graphic standards; applies to a variety of interior and exterior surfaces to assist, enhance, and/or increase wayfinding and visual information.
• Creates photo visualizations and mockups (with Adobe software and/or by hand) of proposed graphics for placement, content and/or usage.
• Schedule production activities and staffing in alignment with available project hours.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations' policies and applicable laws. May be responsible for completing performance appraisals for junior staff as assigned.
• Support organizational efforts to retain new clients and/or projects through marketing research, strategic communications and strategic planning.
• Mentors junior staff.
• Assist marketing department with presentation layouts, template creation and other graphic needs as needed.

Qualifications:

• Required: Associates, Bachelors, and/or Masters degree in graphic design or equivalent field; 8 years of professional graphic design experience
• Preferred: 5 years in project lead position
• Knowledge of graphic design fundamentals, materials, assembly and installation techniques 
• Accountable for the preparation of proposals, contracts, and adherence to internal project budgets; works with Accounting to complete monthly billings
• Expertise in Adobe Software (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) 
• Strong typography and composition design skills
• Knowledge of printing and signage procedures and requirements
• Skill in verbal and written communication, editing and proofreading
• Strong understanding of M+A’s business, culture, and clients in order to convey a consistent tone and style
• Ability to develop and present fresh, creative visual concepts
• Experience leading a project from concept to implementation, and managing consultants
• High attention to detail and accuracy while meeting time constraints and budget limitations 
• Excellent leadership, problem solving, and communication skills, and effective client relationship skills
