Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Implementation Engineer to join our Airports Team reporting to Head of System Delivery located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. If you are an enthusiastic team player and a results-driven individual with excellent communication skills and a strong focus on customer service, we are looking for you! A large part of your work, you will be working independently with minimal supervision, performing and supporting mission-critical deployment work remotely or at customer sites. You will be deploying a full spectrum of Collins Aerospace Airports common use systems and products — at some of the worlds’ most prestigious airports within the South America Region and North America.
What You Will Do
- Install, update, and test new and existing airline and airport applications, configure common use workstations and peripherals. Install third party software products and integrate them into Collins Aerospace Airports common use and system integration products.
- Participate in deployment activities required for airports in LAC (and in other regions If needed) – Travel to customer sites, perform site surveys, interface with local technical personnel, and perform installation activities. Also assist in other critical projects at other airports within North America region and travel to other sites if and when necessary.
- Conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.
- Adhere to installation instructions and guidelines and use industry best practices in order to deliver the best quality service. Use the appropriate tools and equipment to perform the installation, intervention, and problem solutions in accordance with System Delivery guidelines and instructions where provided.
- Follow established policies and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
- Provide best practices for day to day operations, performance analysis, tuning and capacity planning for products deployed and suggest and implement performance improvements when necessary.
- Proactively detect problems, report and escalate the problems to next level of support when they can’t be resolved in timely manner. Interface with on-site maintenance personnel, provide 3rd level supports where needed in order to meet the Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Frequently interact with customers and coordinate with Airlines and Airport Authorities at airports regarding technical requirements, configurations and testing of airline and airport applications. Commission and hand over systems components and enhancements to customer representatives. Assist in design reviews and procurement
- Involves in all aspects of intra-Airports technical discussions involving technical problems at sites.
- Closely liaisons with the project management organization, account management, customer support and sales team for technical exchange of information and planning of operations.
- Responsible for all projects to deploy Airport systems software, and where required, provides technical direction, supports and supervisions to junior engineers.
- Maintain knowledge of existing and future products and requirements and industry trends within Airports domain.
- Works with 1st and 2nd level technical support and development teams and other cross departments to assist resolving engineering issues/problems. Actively addresses performance issues and risks.
- Travel will be based on contract award volume. Travel can be expected upwards of 75% travel load, mostly in North and South Americas regions.
- Due to the travel locations you must have current passport or have passport renewal in process.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S
