About the Position:

First Internet Bank provides exciting internship opportunities for individuals pursuing their Finance/Accounting/Business related degree. The purpose of the First Internet Bank internship program is to provide a hands-on experience in a business setting and present interns with real-world insight into the financial industry. This internship is a paid opportunity.

What You Will Do:

• Assist with month-end financial reports
• Prepare journal entries
• Prepare cash and general ledger reconciliations on a daily basis
• Assist with accounts payable review
• Security documentation and diligence
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Reconcile the balance sheet
• Work with finance team on yearly forecasting effort
• Roll forward analysis of balance sheet accounts
• Review and analysis of monthly financial statements
• Assist with general accounting month-end closing procedures
• Assist with SEC and Regulatory reporting
• Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance testing
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

• Current Sophomore or Junior with demonstrated interest in Accounting and/or Finance
• Excellent organization and data management
• Great attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience using Microsoft Excel
• Superb communication skills
• Desire to work in the Accounting or Finance field
• Able to commit 40 hours a week during the summer internship period

Working Conditions/Demands:

• Professional office setting.
• Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer.
• Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
