System Operator III, QA/QC

This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a System Operator III (Lead Operator, Quality Assurance/Quality Control) for our Long Island City, NY office. Be involved in projects with our Mobility Operations Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges
Your Impact
- Be responsible for reviewing systems at Joint Transportation Management Center (JTMC), and electronic media outlets that utilize and redistribute JTMC data, for Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) data quality assurance
- Establish document handling and storage procedures for ITS data and material related to the JTMC
- Monitor 511NY to ensure accuracy of incident, roadwork, special event entries, as well as variable message board (VMS) messaging
- Review incidents entered into the T-Rex to ensure accuracy and compliance with NYSDOT procedures
- Mentor and train new staff as needed.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Minimum of 3 years of qualifying experience with TMC type facility and/or traffic management
- Oral and written communication
- Computer/Software – including MS Office applications, spreadsheets and databases
- Personnel management
- Public, internal and external relations (works well with internal, external and partner groups and individuals)
- Analytical and organizational skills
All candidates must successfully pass a NYSP Criminal History Background Check.

Expected Salary: $38,600 - $63,690
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position within the state of Colorado, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
