Senior/Staff Mechanical Engineer - Tooling

• Support design, development, and implementation of manufacturing of the spacecraft as a product and throughout its life cycle by implementation of tools for structural composites and piece part/assembly fixtures. 
• Design transport and shipping hardware, including custom crates, vibration-isolated frames, and interface fixtures and ground support equipment for sensitive flight components. 
• Support manufacturability and integration reviews by proposing tooling strategies that reduce risk, time, and cost. 

 Qualifications    

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field 
• 5+ years of experience designing tooling for composite structures, precision assemblies, or aerospace hardware 
• Proficient in CAD tools (e.g., NX, SolidWorks) with experience designing fixtures for manufacturing, integration, or transport 
• Strong understanding of design-for-manufacturability (DFM) principles and production workflows 
• Demonstrated ability to develop hardware solutions that reduce cost, risk, and integration time in a fast-paced environment

 The base salary range for this position is $120,000-190,000/year.
