Prior experience in a Parts Room

Prior experience in a manufacturing facility

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Understands and adheres to company policies, procedures and safety rulesq Knows and adheres to all company rules and guidelinesq Understands all safety related items (MSDS, CBA and Lock out/Tag out)q Follows procedures for accident notificationq Knows where to find policies and procedures · Understands and adheres to procedures on everyday tasksq Must have a complete understanding of document filing system within the parts departmentq Must have the ability to locate parts, either manual or computerizedq Must be able to check on-hand quantity, either manual or computerizedq Must be able to check to see if a part is on order with use of PeopleSoftq Must be able to assign correct account numbers on part issuesq Performs monthly Parts Room inventoryq Is accountable for tools leaving the Parts Room by actively managing the Tool Checkout Logq Will manage and maintain unreturned tool database to include the production and distribution of tool checkout reminder noticesq Performs packaging for outgoing parcels as required · Understands how the parts system worksq Can fill out parts requisition forms correctlyq Helps identify which parts to stock and proper stocking levelsq Properly fills out tags for parts turned in for repair

Ability to prioritize duties/projects and appropriately handle multiple job tasks.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of their area of responsibility
