SCOPE:
Supervises staff to assemble fryers, griddles, and broilers, and organizes and monitors workflow. Reports to Operations Manager
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Review the work performance, absenteeism, and quality, of all supervised personnel and take corrective action as warranted.
- Understands and enforces processes, policies, and procedures through counseling and coaching.
- Monitor production and processes to ensure the employee is using proper methods and procedures.
- Advise and assist employees on methods to help the employee attain established work standards.
- Assists in the recruitment, onboarding, training, and mentoring of new employees.
- Support talent development within the plant workforce and crew leads to ensure a strong pipeline for succession planning.
- Maintain workflow and ensure availability of resources and materials.
- Monitor and coach safety practices consistent with corporate direction and policy.
- Maintain housekeeping programs for a safe work environment consistent with corporate direction and policy.
- Interact with other departments to resolve problems that interfere with productivity.
- Review takt times for production lines and balance resources to meet demand.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineers to identify and implement continuous improvement tasks and projects.
- Calculate, review, and distribute daily production efficiencies for all production teams.
- Learn and embrace ITWs toolbox and core values.
- Compile and maintain department records as required.
- Provide coverage when crew leads are away (sickness, vacation, etc.).
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, in Engineering
- Minimum 5 yrs of production supervisory experience required
- PC Skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and time sheets

- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach and inspire employees.
- Effective communicator with team, stakeholders, and decision makers.
- Proactive problem solver.
- Possesses knowledge of OSHA and its rules and regulations.
- Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance.
- Ability to plan, assign, and utilize resources to meet company objectives.
- Possesses a good understanding of manufacturing operations and related processes.
- Ability to respond to changes quickly, calmly, and efficiently.
Additional Information
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Manufacturing Floor - Based in Charlotte, NC
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Production Schedule - Monday – Thursday starting at 6 am; 10 hours per day and available to work OT Fridays as required.
- Hands on testing and/or troubleshooting
