The Company:

Quotient Therapeutics, Inc. is a privately held, early-stage company developing a novel genomics platform and therapeutics for diseases with a large unmet need.

Position Summary:

Responsible for the translational validation of discovery platform targets in cell-based and in disease-relevant pharmacological models

Responsibilities:

• The successful candidate will work both independently and as part of a team to design, plan and execute high-quality biochemical, cell-based and translational assays
• Lead the development and execution of cell-based assays to assess biological signaling pathways, the biological activity of small molecules, biologics or nucleotide-based compounds
• Define tissue and disease-specific target engagement levels, establish, and run biomarker plans and translational PK/PD assessment
• Critical data analysis, attention to detail, and troubleshooting abilities
• Mentor and train research associates as needed

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering or related discipline with 5+ years of experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical company (the title will be adjusted for the level of experience)
• Deep knowledge and understanding of cell biology. Proficient in experimental design, assay execution, troubleshooting, data analysis, and data interpretation
• Extensive hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture including primary cells and in handling tissues
• The ideal candidate has previous experience in RNA biochemistry and structural biology, cell-based genetic manipulations (e.g., siRNA, ASO) and RNA/DNA delivery
• Experience in the following techniques is a plus: FACS, RT-qPCR, RNA-seq, cloning, cell culture, IHC and quantitative image analysis, Meso Scale Discovery, HALO image analysis software.
• Strong written and oral presentation skills
• Execution focused, team oriented, and highly motivated

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience with translational cell-based and pharmacology models
