Job Summary

Interface with the service line leadership team to support and maximize our event engagement strategy.  Support and coordinate events and activities that contribute to MACC Fund Center service line goals and objectives. Maintains relationships with key donors, volunteers and sponsors as well as significant Community Event organizers.  Coordinates and supports fundraising, cultivation, stewardship and recognition events. 

Essential Functions:

  • Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children’s values and support our mission and vision.

  • Partners with key areas in the service line and foundation on event execution.

  • Responsible for supporting the events team for events, some that have statewide reach, requiring travel on a regular basis, attend planning meetings and manage other event components as necessary for the planning and execution. Much of the work will be logistical, administrative, operational and supportive of the teams needs.

  • Per comprehensive event planning process; responsible for supporting the events team and community event organizers with planning; coordinates and evaluates all assigned events/activities, including driving on budget goals, objectives and timelines and submits for manager approval. 

  • Serves as a central point of contact on the events team in tracking and reporting event activities in any relationship management platforms leverage by the foundation team.

  • Collaborates with organizational teams to strategize and secure financial support which may include: corporate and individual contributions in order to obtain sponsorships, in-kind donations, and other event revenue for assigned special events/activities.

  • Under the direction of event leadership, works collaboratively across departments to develop new tactics to engage identified event donors and volunteers for further engagement.

  • Assists in relationships with; volunteers, sponsors, vendors, organizations, corporations and committees to cultivate continued and increased support/involvement.

  • Attend and support all events as requested and necessary.

  • Partners with Stewardship teammates to coordinate sponsor and volunteer acknowledgment and recognition for assigned events/activities.

  • In charge of CW MACC Fund Center social media accounts and presence. With minimal supervision, develops social media strategies related to specific programs, treatment, and events. Develops and implements communication strategies to proactively tell the MACC Fund Center’s story, enhance the system’s reputation, and strengthen the brand.

  • Represents and speaks for health system as appropriate.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree, one-year special events, and volunteer management or nonprofit experience. Experience can be substituted for degree.

  • Demonstrates initiative and problem solving in absence of supervisor(s) with the ability to make independent decisions as necessary.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills, as well as creative ability.

  • Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time while performing functions of position.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds during special events functions, which is approximately 10% of the time.
