Lead Processor

Description

The Lead Processor supports revenue goals by performing various activities involved in the processing of goods such as sorting, packing, racking, pricing, shipping, proper handling of saleable and salvage goods and utilization of equipment. This role ensures timely delivery of store shipments by adhering to schedules provided and assists management in providing on the job training for new staff employees, clients, participants and volunteers.  

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Identify saleable goods according to standard 
• Separate high-end and vintage goods for sale to specialty stores 
• Price goods according to standard 
• Prepares bill of lading and check shipment quantities against bill of lading 
• Provide adequate staffing to each station 
• Provide direction to processors and material handlers 
• Monitor employee productivity 
• Coordinate with Docks and Transportation departments to resolve production or processing issues 
• Prepare work schedules i.e. break out sheet, for employees assigned to different stations 
• Meet production goals to support revenue goals 
• Identify recyclable goods and place in proper containers 
• Handle goods and equipment properly to avoid damage or breakage 
• Label goods by category and place in proper containers or equipment 
• Conduct inventory of donated goods and seasonal goods  
• Fill out needed production and inventory reports  
• Perform basic arithmetical calculations including addition, subtraction, division and multiplication  
• Operate material handling equipment safely  
• Assist supervisor in providing on the job training to new staff, participants, clients and volunteers  
• Understand and implement safe, efficient handling and lifting procedures. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Ability to identify different categories of donated goods such as clothing, house wares, shoes, purses etc. 
• Must be able to read and write legibly 
• Able to perform arithmetical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division 
• Knowledge of fashion brand names and collectables preferred 

Physical Requirements 

• Able to lift up to 35 lbs. 
• Able to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time 
• Ability to work weekend days
