Overview of Role
As a Senior contributor to the Delivery Management team, you will be responsible for managing the complete project life cycle of large complex enterprise projects in our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) business unit. You will facilitate the GCP team’s efforts to identify, communicate, and resolve inter-dependencies, risks, and issues. Responsibilities
- Manage multiple concurrent enterprise Google Cloud projects from initial communication to project completion
- Lead across multiple work streams (discovery, design, deployment, optimization) and teams to maintain customer momentum.
- Serve as the key intermediary between our customers and engineering leads to gather requirements, estimate work, define project milestones, and evaluate risks
- Lead all standups, scrum ceremonies, and project status meetings
- Facilitate the swift resolution of customer concerns and act as an escalation point for project issues
- Develop domain and technical knowledge to understand technical implementation at the architecture level to facilitate conversations
- Responsible for project scope, finances, schedule and expectations of all parties
- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders, maintain effective communication with leadership to keep them aware of critical issues and action plans
- Owns project retrospectives and related reporting
- Maintain an organized project using project management tools (e.g., FinancialForce, JIRA)
- Builds and maintains client relationship through project delivery and proven value
- Confidence in self-organization and tenacity to deliver results for clients
Qualifications
- 6+ years of relevant experience working as a Delivery Manager or equivalent experience with cloud technology implementations
- Proven track record of successfully leading enterprise level engagements
- Prior experience working as a consultant and communicating with executives is required
- Fluent in cloud technology; Google Cloud Platform is preferred
- Unmatched analytical and communication skills, and demonstrated ability to translate client requirements to system functionality
- Technical aptitude and ability to understand technical designs, challenges, and risks
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying close attention to detail
- Solution-focused and ability diffuse high stake situations
- Scrum/Agile Certification and knowledgeable about large enterprise delivery frameworks such as SAFe, Waterfall, etc
- Familiarity with agile software management and collaboration tools (JIRA, Google Workspace, Mavenlink, Asana)
- Capacity to travel to client sites as needed and requested
