Spot Coolers, a wholly owned subsidiary of Carrier, rents and sells commercial portable air-conditioning and heating solutions nationwide helping customers stay up and running.

About the Role
We are seeking an energetic, motivated Business Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the day-to-day operations of the Boca Raton Office. This role ensures smooth workflow across departments, manages resources, and develops strategies to improve efficiencies that facilitate the expansion of our rental and equipment sales business in all of our North American properties. The candidate must have experience in leading credit/collections, accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, inventory, fleet management, payroll, and customer support teams.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing business processes, identify inefficiencies, and design and implement improvements to streamline operations.

• Supervise and motivate teams to achieve performance goals by developing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

• Conduct recruit, hire, and directly supervise a team of 25-30 while maintaining and managing a safe and collaborative work environment.

• Direct and coordinate the activities of the local team in order to provide superior customer service and quick response time to field divisions and customers. 

• Manage processes while ensuring collaboration and teamwork within the following departments: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Credit Collections, Billing, and Inventory. Ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) and productivity are being maintained to ensure annual sales and profit expectations are met.

• Approve and monitor payroll for the team, including utilization/minimization of temporary/seasonal team members, overtime, vacation requests, and time off requests weekly for the team.

• Collaborate with Spot Coolers Leadership team to document, implement, and execute processes and procedures. Ensure team members are all trained on process.

• Manage the review and approval of new customer applications utilizing the Carrier credit approval processes. Conduct customer profile audits. .

• Oversee, audit, write and monitor credits issued to customers and customer refund issuance.

• Serve as escalation point for all branch needs by building and maintaining relationships with legal, compliance, EHS, IT, HR, finance, and outside vendors.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree and 3+ years of experience directly managing large, multi-functional teams OR High School Diploma/GED and 5+ years of experience directly managing large, multi-functional team

• 3+ years of CRM experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Salesforce experience

• Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel fluency

• Must be self-motivated to achieve annual goals and objectives

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Excellent writing, communication & presentation skills

• Rentals industry or HVAC sales experience
