Summary

Senior Director of Compensation The Senior Director of Compensation will lead a team responsible for strengthening the company’s rewards programs to ensure they are market competitive, performance based, and contribute to business success. The role will evaluate, develop, analyze and recommend base and variable pay, market pricing, pay structures, and software-based solutions for the company’s compensation program.

Position Summary The Director Compensation will lead a team responsible for strengthening the company’s rewards programs to ensure they are market competitive, performance based, and contribute to business success. The role will evaluate, develop, analyze and recommend base and variable pay, market pricing, pay structures, and software-based solutions for the company’s compensation program.

 

Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesCompensation Management and Compliance• Direct team to process and administer pay and/or title changes, transfers, and other compensation-related items requested from the business• Develop and document efficient processes for daily/weekly/monthly processes• Lead the development and maintenance of company-wide job grading/leveling/career-banding. Manage implementation and communication of structures across all lines of business.• Direct team to analyze job descriptions, formulate recommendations regarding FLSA exemptions, market data comparisons and organizational structures. Works closely with the leaders of the company providing compensation analysis and guidance for team structures, promotions, and equity adjustments. • Manage the annual merit review process • Ensure ongoing FLSA compliance and conduct audits periodically to assess compliance; thoroughly document findings and recommend appropriate solutions for compliance.

Varibale Pay Programs

• Oversee and administer the annual bonus program. Model overall program payouts and various planning scenarios. • Provide guidance and oversight for all incentive and/or retention programs.HRIS – Compensation and Rewards Tool Management

• Partner with EBS team to ensure development and design of compensation tools for manager self-service, bonus and incentive plan tracking, and annual merit process. 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

Direct Reports- Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources

Indirect Reports- May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

 

Travel and/or Driving Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the jobEducation Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experienceField of Study/Area of Experience: 12+ years of experience in CompensationPHR certified a plusCertified Compensation Professional desired

Experience with a Public company desired

 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

- Ability to complete multiple duties with accuracy shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines- Good interpersonal skills- Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills - Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers

Office / Sedentary Requirements

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
