RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The ​Senior Network Engineer/Developer is expected to be able to accomplish the following:

  • Develop specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.  
  • Conduct cost‑benefit analyses and support hardware/software selection decisions.  
  • Perform testing and validation of network designs.  
  • Monitor network hardware to verify proper configuration and performance.  
  • Plan and execute network enhancements and upgrades.  
  • Advise users on hardware requirements, configurations, and limitations.  
  • Maintain deep technical expertise across routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, and related infrastructure.  
  • Evaluate emerging communications technologies for future deployment.  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance
  • BS, 12-15 years of relevant experience; MS, 10-13 years; PhD, 10+ years
  • One or more of the following DoD 8570/CS-NET-441 certifications: 
    • CASP+
    • CISSP
    • GCED
  • One or more of the following network certifications:
    • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP Enterprise/Security)  
    • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)  
    • Juniper Networks Certified Professional (JNCIP)  

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • AWS Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional (if cloud networking is in scope)  
  • Microsoft or VMware networking-related certifications 
  • Azure Network Engineer Associate 
  • Palo Alto PCNSE 
  • Check Point CCSA/CCSE 
  • Cisco DevNet Professional 
  • Python automation certifications 
  • Ansible Network Automation certification 

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer/Developer to join our Task Order proposal on the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise III (SITE III). The Senior Network Engineer/Developer will design, plan, develop, test, secure, and optimize enterprise‑level network solutions in support of mission-critical operations. This position plays a key part in the architecture, evaluation, deployment, and modernization of network communications systems across the agency.
