Description
G1 Facility Services is a leading facility maintenance and construction provider, proudly serving customers nationally. We provide facility and preventative maintenance services to aviation, government, and commercial facilities throughout the United States and the Caribbean. With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to add a Level B Maintenance Technician to our dynamic team.
Job Responsibilities
- Respond to reported service calls of mechanical or maintenance-related issues
- Routine repairs involving electricity and mechanical systems
- Repairing/replacing thermostats, cleaning and maintaining space heaters
- Repairing/replacing window screens and latches, and making minor repairs to doors
- Complete any skilled-level service call tasks involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other trades
- Routine repairs on plumbing parts and fixtures including clearing sink drains, clogged toilets, clogged sewer and drain lines
- Re-lamping of lighting fixtures
- Repairs involving sheet metal repair
- Complete any preventive maintenance task assigned to you. PM tasks are performed on water heaters, fan coil unit heaters, cooling and ventilation, and refrigeration systems
- Keep company tools and equipment in good condition
- Perform in a well-organized and controlled way
- Re-organize after at the end of each task
Requirements
- General knowledge of building operations & maintenance
- You must be able to identify and resolve maintenance problems encountered that may cause delays, shutdown, or damage to equipment
- Be able to use a mobile phone to read work orders, track work notifications, log performed maintenance work, etc.
- Be able to submit reports, orally, or in writing on the progress of open work orders in Maximo
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skill
- Be able to operate and maintain hand and power tools, typically used in the trade, safely
- Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must have a valid US driver's License with at least 3 years of experience- approvals and final decision is subjected to our automobile insurance carrier's criteria
Physical Requirements
- Physical ability to perform indicated task
- Be able to work on ladders and lifts as well as in confined spaces and crawl spaces both overhead and under floors
- Precise hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted
Compensation: $29.28 per hour (Based on experience), medical, vision, dental, life insurance, 401k
Shift: To Be Determined (Morning, Midday and Evening)
Employees working in this classification may be designated as essential personnel and subject to occasional overtime, callbacks, and vacation relief, and may be required to serve 24/7 on-call rotation.
