Role Overview

 

This role involves assisting in the upkeep of our everyday software applications and improving our current operational systems. Your expertise will play a crucial role in customizing, implementing, and providing support for applications to meet our specialized pneumatics and fluid control systems controlled by programmable logic controllers (PLCs). This entails participating in the design and engineering of these specialty pneumatics and fluid control systems and conducting root-cause analyses on control malfunctions. You will collaborate closely with the Field Operations team to provide support for the Field Service Technicians.

 

 

Principal Responsibilities

 

1. Application Customization:
   • Customize software applications to meet client and internal requirements, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
2. Implementation and Deployment:
   • Oversee the deployment process of software applications, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to operations.
3. User Training and Support:
   • Provide training to end-users on the functionalities of software applications, offering ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance.
4. System Integration:
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software applications with other systems, databases, and platforms.
5. Configuration Management:
   • Manage the configuration of software applications, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to industry best practices.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of application configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
7. Quality Assurance and Testing:
   • Conduct thorough testing of software applications to identify and address any bugs, glitches, or performance issues.
8. Stay Informed and Share Knowledge:
   • Keep up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software application development and support.

 

 

Knowledge and Experience

 

• 3+ years of field experience in programming
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting diagnostic skills required.
• Ability to troubleshoot and identify root cause.
• Evaluation of new components
• Proven experience in customizing, implementing, and providing support for software applications.
• Proficiency in programming languages, database management, and software development tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective training and support
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Computer literacy is required.
• Familiarity with Salesforce and D365; Fluent in Office 365
• Able to read and write wiring schematics.
