Overview
The Sr. Lead Analyst, Digital Transformation & Technology (“DTT”) Financial Planning & Analysis (“FP&A”) at the World’s Most Caring Company will be responsible for influencing stewardship and strong financially informed decisions for leadership teams across the business. With our Core Values leading the way, this role will develop complex business cases, shape short and long-term strategic priorities, and co-lead all aspects of financial planning, forecasting, and decision support for DTT as well as one of Chick-fil-A, Inc’s six major strategic priorities, Expand Customer Digital and On-Demand Platforms (“DOD”). This position requires an entrepreneurial spirit, the ability to develop trusted relationships, and a desire to influence stakeholders across the enterprise. This individual will have extensive experience translating new business concepts into financial statement models to allow leaders to better understand financial performance to make key business decisions.
There is a significant level of financial investment and strategic impact within DTT and DOD, and this position plays a critical role in supporting the stewardship of those investments. The Sr. Lead Analyst will work closely with the DTT FP&A Principal Program Lead to facilitate the delivery of value to department leadership.
This role will collaborate with Department FP&A, Corporate FP&A, Financial Services, Organizational Strategic Planning, and DTT/DOD leaders to effectively complete department deliverables in support of Chick-fil-A’s strategic goals. This individual will be expected to drive and execute work beyond the scope of Financial Services through cross-functional and special project teams. Responsibilities
- Support business case development in partnership with the DTT FP&A Principal Program Lead, senior DTT and DOD leaders, and Financial Services stakeholders.
- Serve as a trusted business partner by consulting to complex investment scenarios that require significant and often challenging tradeoff outcomes.
- Play a role in the planning, budgeting, forecasting and resource allocation recommendations, in collaboration with the DTT FP&A Principal Program Lead and senior DTT/DOD leadership.
- Leverage assumptions to design, build and maintain financial models to calculate investment metrics such as NPV, IRR, ROIC, etc. in order to drive organizational financial health and growth.
- Apply analytical methods spanning from descriptive to predictive and prescriptive using financial systems and tools to influence financial decision making across the DTT/DOD department.
- Support the execution of department performance management rhythms (e.g., Quarterly Business Reviews) with department leadership that includes deep insights into financial and operational department metrics.
- Lead the translation of complex financial and non-financial information into easily digestible concepts that are relevant to the decision needs of department leadership.
- Have a keen interest in technology trends within, but not limited to, artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, digital technology, emerging technology, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
- Track record of partnering with department business leaders to deliver financial results.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical agility.
- Works with wide latitude for unreviewed action or decision on most outcomes.
- Proven track record of designing, deploying, and supporting large scale financial consulting processes/systems in a complex environment.
- Experience managing multiple deadlines and business partners.
- Ability to identify and solve problems through an analytical and detail-oriented lens.
- Self-starter with strong teamwork skills.
- Significant experience with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Investment banking, private equity, management consulting, corporate development/strategic finance or FP&A experience preferred.
- Experience in financial modeling, presentation building and storytelling.
- Experience in financial systems and reporting (Oracle, Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, ThoughtSpot)
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills and articulates problems and solutions distinctly.
- MBA or Master’s Degree
- CPA, CFA, FPAC or corporate finance related certification preferred
- 5-7 years’ experience
