Job Description:
The Senior Project Manager is charged with leading a high performing team of professionals that designs and delivers a variety of highway improvement projects ranging from simple to very complex.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring that the as-planned portfolio of projects is delivered on schedule and within budget;
- Monitoring performance and take actions to continuously improve project delivery, budget and quality of advertised projects;
- Maintaining a high level of professional and ethical standards and be accountable to those responsibilities and standards;
- Ensuring conformance to MaineDOT's contracts, provisions, policies, procedures and rules.
Work also involves appearing before public groups and representing the Department on various committees and stakeholder groups. Supervision is exercised over technical, engineering, and professional personnel.
To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:
Registered as a Professional Engineer and at least one (1) year of project management experience at the professional level -OR- 12 years of technical engineering experience with at least three years of project management experience.
Preference will be given to those with a Professional Engineers License.
