Outpatient Speech Language Pathologist, Part-Time

BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a part-time opportunity performing Outpatient home health visits for our office located in Moorestown, NJ. This office services adult and geriatric patients on a per visit basis in homes throughout Burlington County and Camden County, NJ. 

As a home care Speech Language Pathologist you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients, affording them the opportunity to receive the medical care required to remain at home. 

 

 

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Responsibilities:

• Perform outpatient therapy evaluations in order to develop a plan of care for patients in designated senior living communities or in a group home setting for adults with intellectual disabilities
• Professionally operate at top of licensure utilizing current research-based approaches to care in order to maximize functional independence for your clients
• Work closely with your home health therapy partners to appropriately transition care from home health to outpatient services in order to achieve client centered goals in their living environment, allowing the right care, at the right time for each client
• Educate the client, family and community caregivers on the care plans created for your clients in order to achieve a team approach to maximizing functional independence
• Perform evaluations, treatments and proper discharge planning for your clients utilizing out outpatient EMR platform to deliver and document on your individualized treatment approaches to meet the needs of your clients

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Qualifications:

• A current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in NJ. 
• A minimum of one year of recent work experience as a Speech Therapist
• Possess a certificate of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech and Hearing Association, or;
• Have the equivalent educational requirements, as indicated by school transcript or diploma, and work experience necessary for such a certificate, and be awaiting the opportunity to take the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association examination for certification, or;
• Have completed the necessary work and education requirements, as indicated by school transcript or diploma, and be in the process of accumulating the necessary supervised work experience required for certification.
• Previous home healthcare experience welcomed, but not required. We will train you!
• Ability to travel to cases as assigned
• A calm and reassuring presence, active listening skills, excellent assessment skills and strong written and verbal communication.
