ASSYST is seeking a highly experienced Lead Full-Stack Java Engineer (Angular & Spring Boot) to support our customer project in Tallahassee, FL ( Onsite )
Description:
Our client is looking for a Lead Full-Stack Java Engineer (Angular & Spring Boot) to work under the direction of the Client's assigned supervisor and Project Manager. The goal is to achieve the objectives of the MEPIC Technology Upgrade Project as approved by a Legislative Budget Request (LBR).
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in designing a new system to meet requirements, including interfaces with internal and external Client systems.
- Code the new system within Client’s Java/Angular programming environment and SQL 2019 database infrastructure to meet functional and non-functional LBR requirements.
- Provide technical leadership within the project team and to both internal and external Client entities.
- Coordinate effectively with Client Information Technology Services (ITS) staff and work with leadership and members of the Missing Persons & Offender Enforcement Division (MPOE) and Enforcement & Investigative Support (EIS) Bureau.
- Adhere to Client Project Control Processes, Procedures, and Change Control.
- Provide knowledge transfer to the Client ITS MEPIC Maintenance Team.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related IT fields.
- Minimum of 12 years in SDLC processes and large-scale IT project development.
- Strong understanding of modern principles, Material Design 3, Fluent UI, and Section 508 compliance.
- Experience with NgRx, NGXS, or Signals-based patterns.
- Advanced experience with Java 21 (LTS), Spring 3.x, and Jakarta EE 10 concepts.
- Experience deploying and troubleshooting on JBoss EAP 8.
- Strong T-SQL experience (Stored procedures, Triggers, Indexing) with MS SQL Server 2019/2022 and JPA/Hibernate.
- Experience with Maven/Gradle and CI/CD pipelines (SonarQube, Bit Bucket, and Jenkins).
- Experience with Government, Law Enforcement, or Public Safety IT projects.
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related IT fields
