The Accounting Manager is accountable for preparing financial analyses related to company operations, including interim and year-end financial statements accompanied by supporting schedules to aid management decision-making. This role oversees the maintenance of accurate fiscal records, the preparation of comprehensive financial reports, and the implementation of effective internal controls to monitor and safeguard company assets. Additionally, the position leads the daily operations of the Accounting Department, including supervision of accounting staff, administration of internal control procedures, and oversight of account reconciliations.
Responsibilities
· Oversee all aspects of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions
· Manage and provide leadership to accounting staff, fostering a high-performing team environment
· Identify, mentor, and develop talent to enhance individual, team, and organizational performance aligned with company objectives
· Direct the monthly general ledger closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
· Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and supporting documentation, along with month-end adjusting entries
· Ensure timely and precise reporting of financial results to support business decision-making
· Prepare and present financial statements, forecasts, and performance summaries to management and other stakeholders as required
· Monitor and analyze monthly operating results, proactively identifying areas for operational and financial improvement
· Evaluate financial performance by analyzing actual results against plans and forecasts; monitor variances, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to management
· Prepare and submit monthly financial reporting packages
· Maintain general ledger accounts and perform detailed account analyses
· Support the implementation of Microsoft D365 ERP system, including the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable modules
· Ensure compliance through the preparation and submission of government and Census Bureau reports
· Assist in coordination and execution of annual internal and external audits
· Contribute to the development and execution of strategic initiatives and capital investment plans
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Strong analytical skills: must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, multi-task and work independently
· Extensive knowledge of accounting theory and practice as well as GAAP
· Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and third parties
· Exhibit objectivity and openness to others’ views; contribute to building a positive team spirit and ability to put success of team above own interests
· Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, identify areas of improvement and promote quality while increasing productivity

· Solid, concise written and oral communication skills
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
· 5+ years of demonstrated experience in financial reporting and analysis, cost reduction, inventory control, tracking and managing costs against a budget, and tracking P&L results required.
· 2+ years of supervisory/management experience required.
· Experience implementing and working with information technology and ERP systems preferred.
