What You Will Do

• Pratt & Whitney, Columbus Forge, Blades (CFB), a recognized leader in producing air foils for the aerospace propulsion market, is looking for dedicated individuals to support our organization in the Tooling Services Department. If you would like to work in a dynamic environment and possess the motivation to incorporate new ideas into practice, this may be the opportunity for you!
• This is a 1st shift M-Thur 4x10
• Lead a team of employees to ensure all tooling requirements, customer requirements, safety and environmental requirements are met
• Assign and delegate work to ensure efficient and effective accomplishment of tooling requests  
• Assist in planning/scheduling
• Manage tooling requests, assign work orders and ensure proper work hours are captured using SAP
• Provide technical guidance for the design, repair, and build of precision tooling and gauges used to manufacture compressor airfoils from blueprints
• Train, evaluate, and monitor employee readiness/training
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to both employees and supervision (skills matrix / leveling)
• Assist in area consumable and material inventory and ordering to ensure needed materials/tooling are on hand

Qualifications You Must Have 

• HS Diploma or GED

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

• 5 years technical/related on the job experience
• CAD/CAM experience • Blueprint reading proficiency
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Forge Scheduling
• Makino A51 Programming and Operation
