CPS Costing & Consumer Desktop Cycle Manager

Description -

The Consumer Compute Category team is seeking for a CPS costing & Consumer Desktop Cycle Manager to lead cost management for consumer PC portfolio together with cycle management for Consumer desktop portfolio.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the Operational excellence with End to end cost management for consumer notebooks & desktops. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Global business unit, procurement, Alliance, Market category to drive cost efficiency opportunities & improve profitability for Consumer business. In addition to costing, you would also manage cycle strategy & readiness for consumer desktop portfolio.

**Role must be in our Spring, TX office. Relocation will not be provided

Responsibilities

  • CPS cost management: Develop and execute a comprehensive cost strategy for cross platform/SKU material & non-material costs. Drive cost saving opportunities different cost owners in SCM, CSS, Procurement to improve cost competitiveness. Guide Lifecycle managers to drive portfolio/SKU cost analysis including NPI & Gen-on-Gen cost changes

  • Alliance Rebate & Cost Readiness: Owns rebate allocation in MUST & Provide clear guidance to Markets. Closely work with GBU Alliance managers for rebate change communication. Drives strategic cost savings project/initiatives/Burst) programs.

  • Analytics & Market communication: Conduct cost analysis for portfolio/high runner SKUs to drive short-mid-long term cost saving opportunities with markets. Shares commodity cost trend, industry view to markets. Guides them on portfolio cost planning.

  • Consumer Desktops cycle management: Own Consumer desktop platform transitions with right CPU/Commodity offering. Manages market complexities and country unique requirements. Own all cycle related documentation and communication to guide markets on product transition (FCS/embargo dates, localization matrix, etc.). Coordinate cycle readiness with GBU and other stakeholders (Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Business Management, Alliance, PPMs, etc.)

Knowledge & Skills

  • PC Industry: Deep understanding of the Consumer PC products, BOM elements, commodity trends
  • Product & cost Management: Strong product/cost management skills to oversee the entire lifecycle of  PC products.
  • Technical Aptitude: Proficiency in understanding the technical aspects of Consumer PCs, including hardware components and performance specifications.
  • Analytics: Ability to analyze data, and gather insights to inform cost strategy, pricing, to market teams
  • Collaboration and Communication: Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, such as product development, sales, and creative, to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives and drive business results.

Education & Experience:

  • College degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or Information Technology preferred
  • 7-10+ years of work experience, preferably in costing & operations, product management, at a global technology hardware or consumer goods company.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and internal systems.
  • Excellent project management skills with proven experience driving multiple concurrent product launches and initiatives.
  • Balance of strategic planning and meticulous execution to ensure consistency on a global scale.
  • Ability to influence and lead virtual teams and interface effectively with all levels of management and cross-functional disciplines.
  • Passionate for products, self-driven with eye for detail & go-getter attitude

The pay range for this role is $105,050 to $161,800 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
