About the Role
Your role involves supporting SSRN's clients and customers by examining, editing, and classifying paper submissions. This includes ensuring copyright compliance, adherence to SSRN's standards, SSRN’s established styles, standards, and verifying both accuracy of citations and author information prior to online processing, and ejournal distribution. Your responsibilities also extend to troubleshooting issues, responding to customer inquiries, assisting in account maintenance, and reporting technical problems. This role requires exceptional communication skills to be successful.
Responsibilities
- Meeting online accuracy/completeness/timeliness requirements. (1) planning and prioritizing; (2) consulting with team leads as appropriate; and (3) delivering accurate, complete, and timely results.
- Reviewing and editing submissions in accordance with department guidelines. Successful performance will lead to high rate of renewal in this role.
- Adhering to best practices in existing processing system and obtaining relevant data via internet searches.
- Achieving quick competence in use of our editorial production systems; master navigation of all pertinent SSRN and Elsevier platforms. Recognizing and reporting all errors and roadblocks.
- Supporting, research, responding, and resolving customer inquiries with a quick turnaround. Accurately documenting all customer interactions and escalating issues to second level team when necessary.
- Planning and implementing the publication of conference proceedings for our conference’s customers. Including troubleshooting queries and problems.
- Working with sales and business development staff to improve customer experience and generate new business.
- Performing other tasks and special projects as requested.
