Position Summary:
The Gypsum Management & Supply (GMS) Senior Manager, Accounts Payable (AP) will provide leadership over all GMS Field Support Center Accounts Payable and will provide leadership to the overall AP process for GMS. The Senior Manager, AP will also serve as the subject matter expert on AP and the related process and systems (e.g., Trend ERP, Concur Invoice, etc.) across GMS subsidiaries, including continuous improvement and transformation (e.g., shared services) initiatives. This position requires an experienced self-starter with the ability to successfully lead and manage a growing department, while enacting change to continually improve the department’s performance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- In conjunction with corporate leadership, help to mature the corporate AP function into a progressively improving capability, including the development of transformational change in line with best practice standards.
- Supervise, develop, and coach department personnel, including planning, organizing and reviewing work.
- Lead and monitor the AP team responsible for corporate accounts payable including:
- Reviewing payments for accuracy, discounts, and proper authorization
- Maintaining invoice discrepancy process
- Responding to vendor inquiries
- Managing the annual Form-1099 process
- Reviewing vendor set-up and credit applications
- Lead the EDI processing/subsidiary rebilling team.
- Lead the procurement card program across GMS.
- Manage the time and expense card program for GMS.
- Help to develop and maintain corporate dashboards for cash flow, form of payment, payment terms, and AP working capital.
- Provide support for the accounting close process and audit requests.
- Maintain departmental desk procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of related work experience
- Strong business process and technology aptitude
- Demonstrate knowledge of general accounting procedures

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position in an office environment 80% of the time.
- Will occasionally move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
- Must be able to operate basic office machinery.
- Must be able to assess documents, spreadsheets, financial statements, etc.
- Must be able to frequently communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
