As part of our mission to shape the future of engineering materials, we are seeking an Advanced Development Expert (ADE) for Automotive Electronics to join our talented team. This role is integral to driving forward our advanced material solutions, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of technological advancements.
Your Role:
As an ADE for Automotive Electronics, you will lead projects that focus on the development of new technologies and processes addressing automotive electronics applications. You will collaborate across various departments to translate innovative ideas into operational strategies and ensure their successful implementation. While being located at the Envalior Troy Office, you will have global responsibility of the entire Automotive Electronics Innovation Segment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the global Automotive Electronics Innovation Segment like an own business
- Analyze market trends and customer needs as input for the Envalior product and technology roadmap
- Deep technical expertise and knowledge in applications such as Sensors, Connectors, Electrical Control Units (ECUs), Car Computers, 48V bus systems, zonal architecture and related requirements toward insulation materials.
- Develop new applications and technologies aligned with the company’s innovation strategy.
- Build strong, close relationships with customers, managing and leading complex projects independently.
- Act as the technical expert for customer discussions, challenging and influencing stakeholders effectively.
- Translate customer needs into actionable development projects and material solutions.
Requirements
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We’re looking for a passionate and driven individual who possesses:
- A master's degree or Ph.D in Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience in research and development of advanced materials.
- Ability to handle pushback and remain resilient under pressure.
- Solid experience in automotive electronics applications obtained at OEMs such as Tesla, Ford, GM or at leading component manufacturer such as TE Connectivity, Molex, APTIV, Bosch or similar tier1 companies
- Work independently with confidence, self-motivation, and accountability.
- Knowledge of current trends in material science, engineering, and automotive electronics.
