Sewing Operator Utility (1423)

Summary: 

The sewer must be able to sew accurately and quickly on single—or double-needle lockstitch and chain stitch machines, as well as special machines such as Zigzag.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Must be willing to assist with specialty machines, such as Zigzag, double-needle lock, or chain stitch machines, including those with folders.  Must have the attitude and aptitude to accept multiple tasks and perform above-average work upon request.  Additional duties and responsibilities will be determined by the Production Manager, Lead Supervisor, Engineering, and Quality Control, who will compile sufficient data and, by consensus, make recommendations to personnel.

Education and Experience:

• A diploma, less than a high school diploma, is acceptable for this position.  
• Must be able to sew accurately and efficiently, consistently maintaining high-quality standards in all operations and details.
• At least five (5) years of experience using industrial-type sewing machines and working on several operations.
