OTR CDL Driver

Job Purpose

Deliver product to the customer and job site in a safe and timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

• ELD Compliant, maintain electronic daily logs.
• Comply with DOT and in house regulations and Safety rules. 
• Conduct post trip and pre trip inspections of equipment.   
• Maintain company equipment, check all fluid levels and add as needed.
• Clean and maintain inside and outside of company equipment.
• Observe and report equipment damages, and mechanical failures. 
• Drive truck in responsible manner and Follow all state and local laws.
• Complete trips in timely manner, report delays and missed appointments immediately. 
• Fuel truck and turn in all copies of fuel receipts to supervisor.
• Complete accurate trip and mileage reports.
• Inspect and secure all loads for stability and safety before departing.
• Communicate with supervisor and or backhaul customers to confirm pickup schedules are met. 
• Communicate and follow instructions from supervisor. 
• Maintain a clean and safe driving record.
• Professional and courteous attitude.

• Education: HS diploma/GED preferred, Class A CDL, No serious tickets, accidents, or DUI in last 5 years
• Experience: 3 years OTR driving experience, experience with ELD, Minor mechanical ability
• Courses/Certifications/Training:
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
