The Cohesity Academy is on a mission to provide knowledge, skills and abilities around Cohesity solutions at massive scale to help organizaitons find limitless value from their data.

We are looking for very hands-on IT professionals to help design, build and deliver training on how to use and deploy Cohesity data management solutions.

As a member of the team you’ll participate in the development and delivery of instructor-led courses with extensive hands-on labs, as well as updating and expanding these materials to accommodate new product features. This role will also assist others in the conversion of these courses into a self-paced format.

You will work with a team of other subject matter experts who create courseware for various persona’s and solutions. We are looking to expand this team with someone focused on technical sales, systems engineering and solutions architects.

 

Responsibilities:

You will be working cross functionally with engineering, systems engineers, tech marketing specialists, and customer support to build out technical training to be used by partners and customers 

• Deliver training to both internal and external audiences
• Work with SMEs to identify key learning objectives and course outlines to drive learning outcomes

• Develop course lecture material/slides
• Identify and develop key lab activities
• Keep materials up to date with new product introductions and expanded capabilities
• Develop and test candidate questions for certification exams
• Collect course reviews and analyze to plan for future course revisions
• Provide train the trainer sessions for scale
• Specifically for Technical Sales, Systems Engineers and Solution Architects: Teaching technical demo’s, proof of concepts, basic administration and installation, technical positioning, sizing and architecting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years experience in IT
• Experience in these technical areas required
• Data Management and Data Protection
• Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
• Database Protection and Recovery
• Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Layer 2 Networking and Firewalls
• Scripting / Automation
• Visio or equivalent application
• Prior course development and delivery
• Storage, Backup, Virtualization
• Industry-standard security best practice
• Additional experience highly desirable:
•  Excellent communication and project-related skills are also required
• Strong verbal communication/presentation skills
• Strong written skills and the ability to create presentations and labs
• The ability to teach others and make them successful
• Self-starter with excellent organization and time management skills
• The ability to manage projects and to drive to a deadline
• Content development tools such as: PPT, Articulate, Skillable, Wellsaid lab
• Expected Travel: 10-15%
