Facility Maintenance Technician

JOB OVERVIEW

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance and up-keep of the Westlake, Ohio location, and the Convergent building and its surrounding grounds. Supports the Maintenance Supervisor by cleaning, repairing, installing, and maintaining the building as required. Will be required to work outside in different conditions and climates for: snow removal, patio clean-up, trash removal, general property clean-up. Will need to not be bothered by heights and is willing to work on a ladder. 

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Performs janitorial duties and other related tasks
• Cleans café areas and restocks supplies
• Cleans and disinfects high touch surfaces
• Repairs furniture, fixtures, and the building within reason
• Empties cafeteria garbage/recycling/shredding receptacles
• Cleans windows, conference rooms, lobbies, entryways, and carpeting
• Prepares conference rooms for meetings and rearranges furniture as needed
• Cleans-up after work events or other events held here

• Changes interior and exterior lights as needed
• Changes batteries in dispensers and other units as needed
• Assists Facilities Supervisor on various jobs
• Must be available for on-call duties, work overtime and an occasional weekend work
• Clean and do various other tasks at the Convergent building
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in general maintenance or other maintenance responsibilities
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer service-oriented
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task
