As a full-time employee in the FIS University Program, you will have the opportunity to participate in team projects, community service activities, professional development seminars and work with a team that is invested in your growth, development, and success; including bi-annual performance connects with your manager.
This two-year full-time program has start dates in January, March, June, and September with a dedicated “Learning Week” where you will:
Learn how to work within a corporate environment
Learn about the exciting world of Fintech and the role FIS plays
Hear from FIS leadership about their journey and participate in senior leader networking opportunities
Build a network of your peers from across the organization
This position is for a June 2025 start.
About The Team
This team brings strategic vision and turns it into reality by collaborating with and driving Colleagues across FIS. The team is made up of Project Managers of varying levels and backgrounds, as well as People Change leaders who help our Colleagues manage changes that are happening in their worlds. The team supports The People Office which is made up of work around Human Resources. We support teams such as Training, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Systems, and many more.
What You Will Be Doing
You will be managing small-medium sized projects within The People Office space which could include technical projects or projects around benefits, training, processes or many others related to Human Resources.
You will be assigned an area of responsibility within a project and be responsible for managing the activities.
You will initially support internal and client status reporting and hosting of status meetings for your area of the projects within The People Office (Human Resources)
You will track the project timeline for your area and tracking risks, issues, and dependencies for the outlined tasks.
You will collaborate with others on the project to ensure milestones are successfully achieved.
You will enhance overall project management skills such as negotiation, collaboration, time management, team management, financial reporting, and problem-solving.
You will manage tracking Program-related resources through Workday, Smartsheets, and using some CoPilot AI.
You will identify project management coordination process gaps or areas for improvement, recommend and support implementation of solutions.
You will help develop documentation to help expand and promote the Project Management team's capabilities
You will be exposed to Change Management practices and facilitate communication development related to the project
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Fluent in English; Strong written and verbal communication skills
Adaptability, a drive to learn, and strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work well independently and within a team
Bonus If You Have
Basic project management skills – this could be actual project management work or even leading planning events
Writing or communication skills
Ability to put order out of chaos – process mapping, documenting requirements, etc.
