Job Description Summary

The Neurodevelopment & Psychosis Section in the Department of Psychiatry, and the Lifespan Brain Institute (LiBI) of Penn Medicine and CHOP are devoted to the study of brain and behavior using innovative neuroimaging research techniques and the application of bioinformatics resources. LiBI brings together researchers in medicine, psychiatry, engineering, computer science, physics and biostatistics to understand brain structure and function, based on functional and structural neuroimaging data. The Clinical Research Coordinator will oversee the collection of MRI data from recruitment through quality assessment and data analysis.

The Neuroimaging team is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Research Coordinator A or B (CRC A/B) to support researchers and investigators for ongoing funded studies and projects. The CRC A/B will function as part of a multidisciplinary team and will report directly to our faculty neuroimaging acquisition lead Dr. David Roalf.  The primary responsibilities of the position include MR data acquisition, quality assessment, and preprocessing of MRI data.  The CRC A/B will also be responsible for recruitment, conducting informed consent/assent process, preparing participants for MRI scanning, maintaining all study related records, and working closely with the clinical coordinator on coordination and administration of research MRIs. Experience collecting neuroimaging data is helpful.

Other responsibilities include maintaining accurate, complete, and timely records, including source documents, consent forms, protocol documents, and regulatory documents, as required by IRB. They will also work on uploading data in relevant databases and accurately maintaining project databases and other participant related information. There may be opportunities for independent research projects if desired and the incumbent may have opportunities to participate in data analyses, scientific planning and manuscript preparation with the project investigators. 

      

The CRC-B will share similar duties as the CRC-A but have the ability to operate more independently while also being a team player. Prior experience as a research assistant, data coordinator or study coordinator preferred. 

Hiring range minimum for this position is $44,947.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.

CRC-A: Bachelor's Degree in biomedical related
