This is a merit hire position. The starting rate for this position is $18.52. Dauphin County Department of Mental Health/Autism/Developmental Programs is currently accepting applications for a full-time, Administrative Assistant 2. The Administrative Assistant 2 is responsible for the coordination of all human resource functions within MHADP to include the tracking of timely performance evaluations, processing of all necessary communications/forms to adhere to HR policy regarding contractual and policy based payroll changes, and the tracking of all required trainings and clearances for both new and existing personnel; coordination of all written communications concerning the MHADP Advisory Board including terms of appointment, routine Board and Board Committee meeting minutes; meeting minutes; represents the MHADP on the County Wellness and Safety Committees; coordination of floor captain assignments as well as necessary supplies/equipment across all MHADP staff members; and, communicates and tracks all necessary work requests with the county maintenance and building management.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING:
- One year of experience as a staff assistant to an administrative officer or as a technician in a staff service of a large organization.
- And such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university.
- Or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
At the time of hire, a valid driver’s license and positive driving record, a favorable criminal background check, child abuse and FBI clearances, as well as favorable references are required. The applicant must provide proof of a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license within 60 days from the date of hire. An alternative form of identification will be accepted if you are not eligible to receive a Pennsylvania driver’s license under 67 PA. Code § 83 and driving is not an essential function of the position.
