As the Senior Manager, Technology Infrastructure you will be accountable for multiple teams and their deliverables. You will successfully deliver infrastructure operations and services across multiple platforms, including compute, storage and hosted services. You will drive successful completion of projects including the design, development, and implementation of IT infrastructure for XPO transportation systems, ensuring infrastructure is offered timely, cost effectively, and with a high degree of availability. You will ensure IT departmental alignment of strategic organizational business objectives. Responsibilities also include project management, technical and business analysis activities, budgeting, department initiatives related to process improvements, vendor management, contract negotiations, and people management. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Have operational ownership of contracted Data Centers, Storage, and Compute platforms
- Hands-on management of priority incidents, including identification of proactive alerting and outage avoidance
- Manage datacenter vendor relationships
- Communicate non-technical messaging at all levels of the company
- Manage team budgets, authorize expenditures, monitor allocation and resources, and oversee project plans
- Drive continuous improvement efforts and fosters innovation throughout all team activities; design and implement measures and KPIs to monitor all aspects of development and delivery
- Effective management of staff, including hiring, counseling, termination, performance reviews; employee and team development and coaching to increase bench strength and flexibility of teams
- Actively drives work through continuous direct engagement with team members at all levels
- Accountability for design, implementation and compliance to XPO Project Development and SOX controls
- Ensures system integration within and across business lines
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
- 5 years of experience in a fast-paced operations environment, with operations and site management experience, capacity management, and data center physical access management
- 3 years of experience leading teams of professionals
- Experience with outage management and recovery, Root Cause Analysis, and preventive action implementation
- Advanced knowledge of IT operations management and processes in an agile environment
- Effective organizational, leadership and presentation skills.
- Strong business focus with demonstrated ability to act in partnership with management teams.
- Ability to identify opportunities to increase accuracy and optimize resources and develops/recommends/implements solutions.
It’d be great if you also have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience, master’s degree a plus.
- Masters Degree in related field
- 10+ years of experience in a fast-paced operations environment, with operations and site management experience, capacity management, and data center physical access management
- ITIL certifications
- Ability to present organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience.
- Ability to Utilize a variety of interpersonal styles and communication methods to effectively adapt to new work structures, processes, or cultures.
- ITIL experience
- Transportation and logistics industry experience

Employees are paid within a salary range based on their experience, skill set, and market.
Colorado annual salary range: $140,060 - $175,075
New York annual salary range: $146,730 - $183,412
California annual salary range: $153,399 to $191,749
Washington State annual salary range: $146,730 - $183,412
