Location: Olympia, WA – Flexible/Hybrid. The incumbent must be able to travel to offices and regions throughout the state to attend in-person meetings, training sessions, and conferences. The incumbent may be eligible for telework with some in-person meetings as required. Some in-state and out-of-state travel may be required.

We're looking for an Intensive Resources Supervisor (WMS2) to join our team in the Division of Partnership, Prevention, and Services (PPS) located within DCYF Headquarters. This division is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing programs that assist DCYF with needed services to support positive outcomes for children and families involved with the child welfare system.
This position supervises an experienced and dedicated team of 6-7 Social and Health Program Consultant 4s who oversee eligibility and access to Behavior Rehabilitation Services (BRS) statewide. We are looking for a program supervisor who has a demonstrated history of valuing diversity, equity, and inclusion, strong communication and robust people management skills, and who values building relationships.

The Opportunity:
The Intensive Resources Supervisor will serve as the DCYF expert in child welfare intensive services and will supervise six (6) - seven (7) Intensive Resources Program Consultants who oversee and administer Behavior Rehabilitation Services (BRS) statewide. They will support teams that are advocating for children and young people by providing guidance, consultation, feedback, and support.
This position collaborates with DCYF teams, internal leadership, the provider community, other state agencies, external partners, and Tribes and provides systems expertise and consultation for Child Welfare staff related to the provision of Intensive Placement Resources to youth with complex mental health and behavioral health needs. The Intensive Resources Supervisor works closely with another supervisor and will use partnership, teaming, and collaboration to ensure consistent delivery of services statewide and a connected and cohesive unit.
The Intensive Resources Supervisor ensures the Program Consultants of the Intensive Resources Unit meet the needs of the child welfare offices, contracted intensive resource providers, and the youth and families they serve who need to access intensive services. This position is directly responsible for the BRS budget, monitors expenditures for contract compliance, and ensures expenditures are in alignment with program and statutory requirements.
As the Intensive Resources Supervisor, you have a critical role in ensuring that our youth with the greatest needs, and those caring for them, can access quality and timely support and services that are needed to help them stabilize and flourish.
