Job Description Summary:
What you need to know about the role:As a Software Developer in the PayPal Key Maker Team, you will support our enterprise developers and external merchant's use of secrets management and cryptographic services.
This role will give you the opportunity to develop and run the tools and systems at the core of our products, collaborate across teams and with your peers, and continue to learn in a collaborative environment
Meet our Team:
The Key Maker Team develops and maintain the systems that are used by all of
PayPal developers to securely manage secrets and the lifecycle of their PKI material. Our product portfolio abstracts the complexities of the lower layers of infrastructure enabling developers to create secure systems consistently and with less effort.

Your day to day
- Develop, deploy, and run our systems with a DevOps mindset.
- Communicate effectively to peers and leadership.
- Help and support our team and.
- Learn, design, discuss, fix, troubleshoot.
What do you need to bring
- Excellent interpersonal skills both written and spoken.
- 3+ years software development experience.
- Competent in designing and building REST APIs.
- Basic understanding of TLS, PKI, Hashing, and symmetric cryptography.
- Basic understanding of infrastructure (networking, Kubernetes, etc).
- Comfortable with Java, Java Spring Boot, Junit, SQL, Maven & Git.
- Experience with any of Hashicorp Vault, GO Lang, Java Script and NodeJS are a plus.
