Data Engineer
In this role you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation, efficiency, and security of our data management and movement plans.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify, diagnose, and resolve data engineering issues related to data management and movement within our healthcare data infrastructure.
- Develop, implement, and maintain data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data to support various applications and analytics initiatives.
- Design and implement data transformation projects to ensure data quality, consistency, and usability for downstream consumers.
- Possess a strong understanding of healthcare data standards like EHR and HL7, and the ability to translate them into efficient data workflows.
- Utilize programming languages like Python, C#, and SQL to automate data engineering tasks and build data transformation solutions.
- Leverage data visualization tools like Power BI to create reports and dashboards that communicate insights effectively.
- Maintain a strong awareness of data security best practices and implement appropriate safeguards within the data infrastructure.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a data engineering or data administration role or equalent education experience.
- Proven experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python, C#, and SQL.
- Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and data modeling techniques.
- Working knowledge of healthcare data standards (EHR, HL7) is a plus.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
