Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure team is building new Infrastructure-as-a-Service technologies that operate at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. Our customers run their businesses on our cloud, and our mission is to provide them with best-in-class compute, storage, networking, database, security, and an ever-expanding set of foundational cloud-based services.
We are specifically looking for a hands-on, Technical Program Manager to join the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Storage Services Group to own capacity management for mission critical services such as Object Storage and Block Volumes. Understanding various forecasting techniques and supply chain concepts, the ideal candidate will be an exceptional problem solver, strong communicator (both written and verbal), have a well-rounded business operations background, and come with a history of capacity management, supply-chain planning or similar.

Responsibilities
- Develop analytical models to forecast resource usage and build out an 18-month capacity demand plan for each component.
- Manage a team of capacity managers for Storage Services
- Recruit and train operations managers for capacity forecasting, capacity management, and driving new hardware shapes among others
- Drive execution for on-time, on-scope delivery of racks to the data centers and their subsequent installation, cabling, provisioning and ingestion by the service team.
- Work across internal teams and partner with them to ensure that storage services have adequate capacity available to them whenever needed.
- Partner with the Data Center Operations and other internal teams to determine when end-of-life hardware needs to be retired and drive the decommissioning program.
- Help define and deliver complex programs with competing priorities by influencing roadmaps and priorities of key stakeholders.
- Recommend business operations process improvements and serve as an escalation point for all capacity issues for storage services.
- Ensure that hardware resource requirements needed to support a particular program/initiative are in place.
- Provide on-going written and verbal status updates to senior leadership.

- Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate, and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
Required Qualifications:
- Work across teams and partner with finance and sales to ensure the optimal level of capacity in each of the customer regions
- 8+ years’ experience in analytics/forecasting/supply chain management
- 3+ years managing technical program managers, preferably for cloud services.
- Knowledge of SQL and experience writing SQL queries.
- Exceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- A demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically.
- Self-driven problem solver; able to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and customer-focused environment.
- Highly analytical, technically proficient, and ability to learn new tools and software quickly.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) at different levels in the org, engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience using agile software development practices and associated tooling
