Primary Purpose of Position:
The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of their assigned Craft organization (Mechanic/Machinist/I&E/Pipefitter). This position provides sound leadership and ensures the highest level of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) performance and focus on continuously improving on maintenance and reliability systems.
The incumbent is accountable for managing and directing maintenance repairs, engineering, and operations projects to ensure a quality product is produced safely and environmentally correct while maintaining zero environmental releases and zero deviations. They will establish and maintain department maintenance procedures, while managing department staff to operate systems at design levels and minimizing overtime costs
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Accountable for managing and directing maintenance repairs, engineering, and operations projects to ensure a quality product is produced safely and environmentally correct while maintaining zero environmental releases and zero deviations. They will establish and maintain department maintenance procedures, while managing department staff to operate systems at design levels and minimizing overtime costs.

Implements and sets priorities for the preventive maintenance program which includes greasing and lubricating, changing belts or drive equipment, checking production equipment for wear or damage, inspecting crane cables and hooks and checking hydraulic systems for spills or leaks.

Identify and assist in the resolution of maintenance activities to insure optimal equipment uptime and performance. Provide plant expertise toward the implementation of process improvement projects.

Ensures compliance with established and evolving Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures. Ensure proper response is taken by personnel to prevent or minimize safety, health, and environmental incidents. Conducts root cause analysis investigations as needed.

Partners with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Technology teams to develop and implement process improvements.
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or in lieu of degree 8 or more years of manufacturing experience.

Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) preferred
Experience:
-
Minimum of 5 years' engineering/maintenance experience in the Chemical, Rubber or Petroleum Industry.

Minimum of 3+ years' experience in Mechanics/Millwright craft.

Experience in leading others strongly desired.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
