About the role

Hikma Pharmaceuticals is a multinational pharmaceutical company with headquarters in London, UK that manufactures injectables, generics, and branded pharmaceutical products. The company is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index. We are currently looking for a Tax Manager to join our dynamic and inspiring Tax Team. As a member of our One Global team, you will be the thinker and doer to work collaboratively with colleagues across the continents: U.S., Jordan, and UK. The VP Tax, Group is based in the U.S. The Tax Manager reports to Sr. Director – U.S. Tax Operations and assists with a wide variety of tax matters, including U.S. and global tax planning, tax accounting under IFRS and U.S. GAAP, U.S. Federal and State/Local tax compliance, and audits. The Tax Manager mainly supports the U.S. tax provision and compliance functions with various tax jurisdictions to fulfill the local, regional, and global tax strategies.
Location: Berkeley Heights, New Jersey.


Responsibilities:
•    Manage the preparation of U.S. federal income tax returns in house to ensure the accurate and timely filings of all tax forms. 
•    Prepare extensions and quarterly estimated tax installments and assist the quarterly cash tax management.
•    Maintain the annual corporate income tax return schedules and legal entity workbook.
•    Responsible for tax compliance calendar by coordinating the activities of internal and external resources and ensuring timely completion of work.
•    Prepare and support the tax provision, tax budget/projection, and annual effective tax rate forecasting.
•    Prepare tax account reconciliation and tax asset/liability roll forward analysis to meet the requirement of internal control procedures.
•    Assist with both internal and external audits.
•    Assist in tax technical research to keep practices current with tax law changes.
•    Support ad hoc projects as required by management including but not limited to SALT work.


Requirements:
•    BA/BS degree in Accounting; CPA or MST (Mater Science in Taxation) is strongly preferred.
•    6+ years of tax experience in a multinational corporate environment and/or public accounting preferred.
•    Strong knowledge and experience with ASC 740, U.S. tax compliance, and advanced tax technical and research skills
•    Work independently with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
•    Proficient MS Excel skills: knowledge of OneSource Tax Provision, OneSource Income Tax, Sage, and SAP are desirable.
•    Strong communication skills and contributor to team chemistry.
•    Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
•    Deep desire to perform with the best practice to enhance internal process and to manage tax risks.
•    Interested in international travel a plus.
•    Any second language a plus.
