Description

The Department of Computer Science at Iona University welcomes applications for an adjunct position to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Network Security as part of it Cybersecurity concentration. The courses will be offered in Spring 2026 and are fully in-person.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver engaging lectures and assignments that align with course objectives and promote active learning.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback on student assignments, projects, and assessments to support their academic growth and development.
  • Assess student learning outcomes and submit all required assessment materials as instructed by the department's assessment coordinator.
  • Hold regular office hours to assist students with coursework and projects.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Salary Range: $1,273 to $1,562 per credit, based on course level and qualifications.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field. Candidates with relevant industry experience and a passion for teaching are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively in a diverse academic environment.
